Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation

Indianapolis, Indiana

The Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, Inc. was established in 1986 by Richard M. (“Dick”) Fairbanks, the founder and owner of Fairbanks Communications.  For over 50 years, Mr. Fairbanks was a leader and innovator in radio broadcasting. As his wealth and philanthropic spirit grew, Dick decided to form The Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation. The Foundation awards grants that align with three focus areas: Education, Health, and the Vitality of Indianapolis.

As a way to celebrate the story of Richard M. Fairbanks and to educate the Foundation’s clients, Rowland Design created wall graphics for the non-profit’s new office. The historical time showcases Mr. Fairbanks’ life in three facets:  Family Man, Civic Leader, and Broadcasting Businessman. The graphics also serve as a graphical standard to bridge the traditionalism of Richard Fairbanks with the contemporary interior design of the Foundation.
