The Charley Creek Inn, originally built in 1920, recently completed a 2-year restoration. Rowland Design served as the interior designer on the project team. The hotel’s lobby, corridors, rooftop, ballroom and guest rooms were redesigned to reflect 20th century décor integrated with 21st century amenities. Twenty, the hotel’s casual upscale restaurant, was also re-designed by the Rowland Design team. The restaurant’s décor is modern yet also classic, as artwork throughout the space takes diners through a pictorial tour of the 1920s. Twenty also features a piano bar called The Green Hat Lounge, which displays a mural of Hoagie Carmichael, a famous musician with ties to the Wabash community. The Charley Creek Inn is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, and this renovation ensures the hotel will continue to thrive for many years to come.
