IUPUI Payton Philanthropic Studies Library

Indianapolis, Indiana

To accommodate a growing collection of books and to better meet the needs of students and trustees, Rowland Design was tasked with redefining a portion of the IUPUI University Library to house the new Joseph and Matthew Payton Philanthropic Studies Library.

By rearrangement of the existing book stacks, branding the space with 2 curved dedication walls, and redefining the high ceilings, our design solution provided a more prominent location for the archive collection, a much needed events location, and a more functional study environment. New finishes and furniture also help transform the previously underutilized space into a dynamic study destination.
