Gamma Phi Beta

University of Michigan |  Ann Arbor, MI

Rowland Design worked with the National Gamma Phi Beta Housing Corporation to complete an extensive renovation to their original chapter house on the University of Michigan campus. As the organizations Beta Chapter, the recolonization of Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Michigan was extremely significant.

The client’s desire to create an impactful presence on campus led to the reconfiguring and enhancement of the structure’s exterior. A new Greek Revival façade and new front porch were added to the existing house.

Interior spaces were also reorganized for more efficient use. New finishes and furnishings give the house a brand new look and feel, with the Gamma Phi Beta brand and colors integrated throughout. Life safety improvements and accessibility concerns were also addressed in the renovation.
