Sarah Marr-Schwartzkopf
President
Sarah is President and CEO of Rowland Design. With 24 years of interior design experience, Sarah's expertise in hospitality environments is diverse. Some projects she has worked on include: the suites at Lucas Oil Stadium, Conseco Fieldhouse, and the RCA Dome; the Music Mill; Scholar's Inn Gourmet Cafe and Wine Bar; Oakley's Bistro; Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Indianapolis and Vernon Manor Hotel in Cincinnati.
Additionally, Sarah is actively involved in her community, giving her time, creativity, and leadership to business, civic, and educational organizations.
Eric Rowland, AIA, LEED AP
Principal
Eric Rowland is the firm's chief architect and his expertise covers a wide variety of project types. His work has been published nationally, and he is a strong advocate of sustainable design and lifestyles.
Notable within his body of work are a $50 million urban revitalization initiative in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Indiana University Classroom & Office Building, and the uniquely gratifying Joy’s House.
Closer to home, Eric is a former 500 Festival Board member, a Hixson Fellow Kiwanis Board Member, a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Series, and is an advisory council member of the IUPUI Interior Design Program.
Robert Frist
Principal
His 30 year tenure with Rowland Design has honed expertise on many project types, all focused on our clients’ business plans.
While leading a diverse project load, Bob leads our growing healthcare market segment and is passionate about the design of “learning spaces.”
As a strong community advocate, Bob has been involved with the arts, business and civic projects promoting growth and vitality within our community.

Ron Strantz, IIDA, BOMA
Principal
Ron Strantz is the Studio Director at Rowland Design and leads our government and office market segments. For 35 years, Ron has been devoted to the business and corporate communities. He has collaborated with and leads projects for: Eli Lilly and Company, Wellpoint, Chase Bank, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Oxford Financial Advisors. Ron has given his time and energies to the IUPUI Curriculum Advisory Board and the Damien Center, and he is also an alumnus of the Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Series.
Beth Ann Brown, IIDA, KCID,SEGD
Chairman
Beth Brown is President of Louisville Operations at Rowland Design. Beth has been instrumental in growing our Environmental Graphic Design segment through museum and exhibit design opportunities and higher education. She has benefited clients such as: the University of Louisville, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Kentucky Derby Festival, and numerous museums.
Beth remains an avid community partner through participation in the U of L Interior Design and Graphic Design programs; a member of the Kentucky Association of Museums, International Interior Design Association and the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers.
Tricia Trick-Eckert, NCIDQ
Principal
Tricia co-leads our academic market segment and has invested her career in providing design solutions for both academic and office settings. She has made significant contributions to Rowland Design's work in the higher education field and her work has benefited clients such as Purdue University, Indiana University, Butler University, Hanover College, Eli Lilly and Company, HDG Mansur, and the Tobias Family Foundation.
A Graduate of Purdue University, Tricia is NCIDQ certified and is a community volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana. She is also a member of Ball State's Interior Design Advisory Board and Purdue University’s Purdue University’s Advocacy Council..
